How intelligent environment analysis makes navigation safer
With VISIONAIRY®, Spleenlab GmbH from Thuringia is developing an AI platform that makes autonomous systems safer, more efficient and more independent – in real time and without an internet connection.
Autonomous systems are technologies that can independently perceive and analyze their environment and make decisions without direct human control. In short: a key technology of the future.
They ensure that drones, vehicles and robots react faster, make decisions independently and move safely in complex environments. However, this is precisely where many existing systems still fail today: they are too inflexible, require external computing power or do not meet the high security requirements of critical applications.
Spleenlab GmbH from Saalburg-Ebersdorf is therefore rethinking autonomous navigation. With its AI-based software platform VISIONAIRY®, the company is developing a technology that enables autonomous systems to precisely capture their surroundings in three dimensions, analyze them in real time and navigate autonomously – even without a cloud or internet connection. The innovation combines artificial intelligence with modular sensor technology and resource-saving architecture. Cameras, LiDAR or other sensor systems can be flexibly integrated.

Behind the technology is a team that combines research, engineering skills and entrepreneurial thinking. The team was awarded the Innovation Award Thuringia 2025 in the Digital & Media category for its innovative development.
With VISIONAIRY®, Spleenlab GmbH is setting new standards in AI-controlled real-time navigation of autonomous systems. The modular software platform creates safe, efficient and sustainable mobility solutions – a pioneering technological edge made in Thuringia.
