The world’s secure biometrics
IDloop has developed the world’s first 3D scanner that captures fingerprints without contact. Contactless, with microscopic resolution and in a fraction of a second, a fingerprint is scanned and can be compared with existing databases.
Accelerates to market
The founding story of the Jena-based startup is the epitome of innovation acceleration: After participating in the Thuringian Regional Innovation Program , IDloop wins a pitch award at the Investor Days Thuringia in 2022 and is awarded the Thuringia Innovation Award.
Funded with ten million euros
The European Union is supporting the further development of the system to market maturity within the framework of its “EIC Accelerator” programme with ten million euros, which consists of subsidies and investments through the EIC Fund. IDloop is the first company from Central Germany – and thus also the first from Thuringia – to qualify for this European program.
Targeted investments
The Foundation for Technology, Innovation and Research Thuringia is on board as a co-investor. With mission investing , we invest in measures that promote the foundation’s purpose, such as technology and start-up centres as well as start-ups.
