At the Erfurt University of Applied Sciences, more than 60 master’s students from six courses of study are currently working on around 20 innovative business ideas – interdisciplinary and practical. The teams develop concepts ranging from digital solutions to sustainable business models and social innovations.

At the Regio TRIP at the University of Applied Sciences Erfurt, the students from the entrepreneurship course of Prof. Dr. Anna N. Richter were able to present their work.

As part of the Regio TRIP, the students were able to further sharpen their plans in a professional pitch training. Together with the start-up advisory service of the University of Applied Sciences Erfurt and the TRIP coaches Christian, Florian, Kai and Willy, the teams received honest feedback and concrete impulses.

The result: clearer presentations, sharper business models and a realistic understanding of how ideas can be turned into viable projects.

TRIP – a successful model for innovative start-ups

The project at the University of Applied Sciences shows how entrepreneurship can be strengthened at an early stage and made tangible directly in the regional environment. With the Regio TRIPs – a format of the Thuringian Regional Innovation Program (TRIP), universities and regional start-up actors are supported in developing ideas in a practical way and students are networked with the startup ecosystem in Thuringia.

Regio TRIPs bring coaching, feedback and entrepreneurial methods directly to where new ideas are born. They complement the central TRIP program, which accompanies growth-oriented startup teams, and create points of contact with entrepreneurial thinking and professional start-up support at an early stage.

As a foundation, we promote the development of new technologies and innovation towards entrepreneurship. Programmes such as TRIP and Regio TRIP connect universities, start-up support and the community and make entrepreneurial learning tangible. The Regio TRIP at the University of Applied Sciences Erfurt shows how regional formats strengthen start-up culture and thus contribute to the long-term growth of Thuringia’s innovation and startup ecosystem.
