Linn Bieske is a shining example of how the foundation recognizes, supports and develops talent. From awards in “Jugend forscht” at state and national level, the Second Grand Award in electrical engineering at the 2012 World Championships, to doctoral studies and prestigious positions at Harvard, MIT and international research organizations.

Leading expert in machine learning and AI

Today, Linn is one of the leading experts in machine learning and AI research, computer vision and language processing. She not only works on making AI systems more powerful in all data areas, but also on improving their controllability and comprehensibility for humans. She passes on her experience to the next generation of young researchers in STEM Thuringia and helps shape the STEM system as an alumna, juror and coach. Linn’s success is more than just a personal career.
