Endowed professorships

As part of our STIFT guideline, we support Thuringia’s universities in their role as regional innovation engines and educational institutions. Particularly noteworthy are the endowed professorships, which are financed jointly with industry. Endowed professorships help to intensify cooperation between academia and practice and promote knowledge transfer for mutual benefit. The aim is to support research activities geared toward medium-sized companies and thus initiate new research priorities.
