Endowed professorships
By funding endowed professorships, we support Thuringian universities in their role as regional innovation engines.
As part of our STIFT guideline, we support Thuringia’s universities in their role as regional innovation engines and educational institutions. Particularly noteworthy are the endowed professorships, which are financed jointly with industry. Endowed professorships help to intensify cooperation between science and practice and promote the transfer of knowledge for mutual benefit. The aim is to support research activities aimed at medium-sized companies and thus initiate new research priorities.
