Tonight, the winners and nominees of the Thuringia Innovation Award gathered in the new premises of the Foundation for Technology, Innovation and Research Thuringia in the Erfurt Defense Barracks. The invitation had been issued by Minister of Economic Affairs Colette Boos-John and Foundation Board Member Christiane Kilian, on behalf of the sponsors of the competition. The occasion was a dinner that was intended to enable direct exchange between the most innovative companies in Thuringia and the winners of the Innovation Award.

“I am very much looking forward to the exchange with the entrepreneurs, whose ideas are among the best from Thuringia,” said Minister of Economic Affairs Boos-John. “Our goal is not only to make these innovations visible, but also to create the best conditions for their success.”

Christiane Kilian was also pleased with the evening: “The participants of the Innovation Award impressively demonstrated their innovative strength. It’s a great feeling to welcome this vibrant community to the new location.”

An evening full of ideas and networking

Around 40 guests took the opportunity to exchange ideas in a relaxed atmosphere, make new contacts and discuss future developments. The aim was not only to honour the innovative achievements, but also to further improve the conditions for innovative companies in Thuringia.

The Thuringia Innovation Award is one of the most highly endowed awards for innovation in Germany. It shows the technological, economic and social impulses Thuringia has to offer – and makes it clear: The innovative power of the state is in every single project and every entrepreneur that is created here.
